Wrinkled Crinkled Cress, botanically known as Lepidium sativum, is a multipurpose culinary herb that is grown as a micro green. Used as a leafy green to add flavor to salads or as a garnish AND as a cut flower staple, it is truly a triple crop! When eaten fresh in mature plant form, the curled leaves provide a warm spicy flavor that surprisingly ends with a burst of sweetness when added to salads or sandwiches. Easily field grown, plants resist bolting which will allow for multiple cuts from each planting. Cress is also commonly grown as a cut flower greens filler, used both flowering and also as sprigs of tiny oval shimmering seedpods on fully mature plants. It can be used either fresh or dried for everlasting arrangements. Packet: 100 seeds.
