Dill

Dill is a delightful garden staple grown for harvesting seeds, greens and as an attractive cut flower filler in bouquets and arrangements. Most popularly used in making pickles, dill is a common herb addition to dips, salad dressings, sauces and soups. Dill is also used as an ornamental variety in border plantings and cottage gardens for its unique feathery leaf appearance and delicate flower spire umbels. Dill is easy to grow and available in several dwarf varieties that are suitable for patio, container or small garden spaces, in addition to the standard 3'-4' foot variety grown by fresh market growers as a seasonal crop.
