Rudbeckia hirta Cappuccino is a vibrant flowering perennial that produces stunning, electric, light-rust colored, 4" inch daisy-style flowers with a deep mahogany inner ring and rich black center. Plants grow to 24" inches and nearly as wide and are visually captivating when planted in mass in garden beds or long borders, pathways and fronting hedgerows. The Cappuccino variety has long, strong straight stems which make for ideal cut flowers. This tetraploid plant produces high quality blooms from early summer through late autumn. Regular deadheading spent blooms will increase and sustain flower production. This easy keeper is deer resistant, low maintenance and drought tolerant for xeriscaping. A celebrated Fleuroselect winner and garden bed favorite, it will freely self sow and naturalize if spent blooms are left to stand in fall to reseed accordingly and also feed the birds throughout winter. For cut flower production this variety is typically grown as an annual. Packet: 25 seeds.
