Leaf Celery is an open pollinated gourmet favorite. A cutting celery that looks like triple curled parsley, it has a deeply pronounced celery flavor. Similar to parsley, it is grown for its leaves, not the stalk. This well loved Dutch heirloom is much easier to grow than traditional stalk celery and is an ideal compliment to a window sill herb garden or planted patio cutting garden. This culinary charmer is a "cut & come again" variety that regenerates after harvesting for the duration of the season. Cut in handfuls instead of harvesting the entire plant. Use Leaf Celery to season soups, herb stuffing, dumplings, egg rolls and salads. The stalks make a delightful puree that can be used as a base for soups, stews, sauces and dressings. This variety can be used either dried or fresh. 50 days. Packet: approx. 500 seeds.
