Centaurea Aloha Blanca, botanically known as Centaurea americana is more commonly known as Basket Flower. This half hardy annual variety produces gorgeous creamy-white 3" to 5" inch flower blossoms. An abundance of interesting, whiskery, quill-type petals emerge from what appears to be decorated lattice, basketweave style imbricated buds. A garden sight to behold! A super pollinator attractant, your flower beds will be aflutter with butterflies, moths and bumble bees abuzz! Although it resembles a thistle, fully spineless plants grow 40" to 60" inches tall and produce sturdy 36" inch stems making this an attractive flower for home cutting gardens and professional cut flower growers. Can be used by floral creatives both fresh and dried. This variety is a native US species that was discovered in the 1850's and prefers a sunny location. Drought tolerant, this easy to grow garden charmer thrives in almost any soil type. Packet: 50 seeds.
