Aster Powderpuff Mix is vibrant color collection that produces purple, bright lilac, white and fuchsia, upright, double quilled, 3" inch blooms that average 20" to 24" inches. Commonly known as China Asters, these frilly garden favorites are solid color, without yellow centers like many other Aster varieties. Although Asters resemble chrysanthemums, they have enough unique traits that make Asters the only member of its genus, Callistephus. Popularly grown as a cut flower, this brilliant cottage garden charmer will brighten any garden patch with a saturated pop of color. This crossover variety can be grown indoors, as the Victorians did, or even field grown. They do withstand the hot heat of summer if kept well watered and have excellent vase life as a cut flower. For continuous summer blooms, plant seeds two weeks apart in succession and enjoy the color parade in your garden all season long! Packet: 100 seeds.
