Aquilegia caerulea Dragonfly Mix Columbine creates an enchanting showcase of frilly, star-shaped, 1.5" inch blooms that hover on long straight multi-branched stems, A fantastic array of two-toned blossoms is in this color mix. Enjoy the unique look of the fully-spurred 2.5" inch flower blossoms as they dance and sway in the breeze from early spring until fall frost. This frost hardy perennial is typically second year flowering and is easily direct-sow into garden beds. Expect tidy, well formed 18" to 24" plants that are ideal for containers, walkway borders and positioned towards the front of garden beds. Seeds require cold stratification for proper germination and are best broadcast sown into beds in late fall or started indoors 4 to 6 weeks prior to your final frost in spring. Plants will freely self sow in optimal growing conditions. Mixture includes a color variety of blooms in red, white, yellow, blue, rose, pink, violet, and more.
