Anemone coronaria, commonly known as Windflower, is a delightful garden charmer that appears at just the right time to lift our spirits in early spring and again in late fall. Gorgeous, open faced, upright 3" to 4" inch blooms are supported by hardy, 10" to 18 " inch single stems. Many customers inquire if these are the same anemones that come from corms? Why, YES, they are! Sowing the seeds yourself is quite a cost savings to produce the same quality flowers! Mona Lisa is ideally suited for greenhouse or high tunnel production for cut flower growers. This mix includes both solid and bi-colors. Each mature plant will produce 15 to 18 blooms per season. Anemones prefer partial shade and are famous for their ability to grow in low light conditions and still abundantly flower. Consider adding this variety to a woodland garden planting for a striking pop of color under a tall tree canopy or use them for border plantings under shaded areas for a spot of desired color. Packet: 20 seeds.
