Anemone japonica hupehensis, commonly called Japanese Anemone, Saucer Anemone or Windflower, is a swoon worthy garden charmer! Featuring a glorious mix of rosy pink, light pink and white, these saucer shaped flower bloom with well lobed petal shape contrasted by lovely yellow stamens on wiry multi-branched stems. Well regarded as the earliest summer-flowering Anemone, these beauties are an excellent, easy keeping perennial that flowers from early summer all the way through the first frost in fall when many other bloomers have faded already. A suburb cut flower, plants grow 28" to 30 " inches tall and thrive in a location with morning sun and modulated afternoon shade, especially in warmer growing zones. Notably hardy to Zone 4, Anemone japonica hupehensis is best left by allowing the plant to stand over winter and cutting back to the new growth once early spring arrives for maximum blooming productivity. Trim spent stems regularly to keep this workhorse pumping out the blossoms all season long. Packet: 25 seeds.
